Let’s, read the success stories of toppers of UPSC Exam 2017:
1st Rank: Anudeep Durishetty
Anudeep Durishetty who had completed B Tech (Electronics & Instrumentation) at Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani in Rajasthan in 2011 shared the stories of struggle and said, “It was while pursuing engineering degree that I started taking interest in civil services. I prepared hard, but could not succeed in getting through the interview conducted by the UPSC in my first attempt. Subsequently, I joined Google India as a software engineer in Hyderabad and continued to prepare for the civils.”
In the 2nd attempt, Anudeep was appointed as a customs and central excise officer but still, he didn’t leave his aspiration to become IAS officer, “However, my quest for IAS (Indian Administrative Services) continued. In the subsequent two attempts, too, I could not achieve success. This year, it was my last attempt and I put my heart and soul into it. By grace of god, I topped the Civil Services,” said the 28-year-old.

2nd Rank: Anu Kumari
Anu Kumari who resides in Delhi with her husband Varun Dahiya had completed BSc (Hons) graduate in Physics from the Delhi University, thereafter she pursued her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Marketing from IMT, Nagpur. Meanwhile, she decided to prepare for the UPSC Civil Services examination, one-and-a-half years ago after realizing that she was not satisfied with her job in the private sector and wanted a more meaningful job in spite of the fact that she was earning around Rs 20 lakh per annum.
She said, “I constantly felt like something was missing in my previous job, so I decided to take the plunge. It appeared that my entire life will pass me by running after money. I thought if something has to be done, then I have to be a part of the system. The private sector is always open to me. But I’m glad I wouldn’t have to return to it now.”
3rd Rank: Sachin Gupta
Sachin Gupta who hails from Haryana’s Sirsa district had secured the All India 3rd Rank in the Civil Services examination 2017. Sachin is a Mechanical engineer from Thapar University, Patiala and was also working at Maruti Suzuki in Gurugram with an annual salary of Rs 6.5 lakh from 2013 to 2015.
Sachin says that he had got an All India Rank of 575 when he had appeared for the examinations in 2016 but he still wanted to improve his rank so he decided to quit his job to improve his rank. Sachin has the objective of eradicating the social evils from the society

4th: Atul Prakash
Atul Prakash who is a 26-year-old graduate from IIT Delhi is a resident of Mangraon village, Buxar district in Bihar who aspired to become a people-oriented civil servant. After completing MTech in mathematics and computing from IIT Delhi in 2016. Atul appeared for the UPSC exam and was selected for railway services but he didn’t left his apiration to become IAS officer.

5th: Pratham Kaushik
Pratham Kaushik who is a 24-year-old graduate in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh, is a resident of Mahendragarh district in Haryana. After completing his graduation Pratham instantly started to prepare for the examination and with fortune he was selected in his second attempt.
