Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, popularly known as APJ Abdul Kalam is an inspiration for millions across the world. Born and raised in Tamil Nadu, Kalam had studied physics and aerospace engineering and had spent several years working as a scientist.
Further, his contribution in the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology had earned him the prestigious title of the Missile Man of India.
In July 2002, he had won the presidential election to become the 11th President of India.

At the age of 83, Kalam collapsed while delivering a lecture and passed away on July 27, 2018.
