Birthday Girl Anushka Sharma Turns 30: 5 Movies That Makes Her The Ultimate Queen Of The Box-Office

A ‘cutiepie’ of all hearts along with a powerhouse of talent, Well! She is none other than Bollywood superstar Anushka Sharma, who with innocence in her eyes and that million dollar smile has know became one of the finest actresses in the film industry.

As today is Anushka Sharma’s birthday,  Virat Kohli took the opportunity to wish her on social media, he tweeted, “Happy B’day my love. The most positive and honest person I know. Love you”

As she turns 30 today, we would like to share a list of 5 movies which proves that she is the ultimate Queen of the Box office:

5. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008)

Pairing with King Khan in her debut in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Anushka turned into an overnight star as her movie collected over Rs.85 crore at the box-office to become the second-highest-grossing film domestically and the highest-grossing in the overseas market. Well! The movie was a blockbuster and Anushka’s role in the movie was also appreciated by the critics.

4. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016)

Karan Johar decided to try something new when he decided to cast Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the same movie. The movie attracted audience all-over India as the pair of Anushka and Ranbir became one of the blockbuster jodis of Bollywood. In the UK, the movie recorded the biggest Bollywood opening of the year with 4.88 crores while in India it collected around Rs.112.48 crores.

3. Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012)

In 2012, Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma were seen together back on the screen after 4 years while the movie also starred Katrina Kaif. Directed by Yash Chopra, the movie became the third-highest-grossing Bollywood film that year as it collected over Rs.120.85 crores at the box-office despite facing a clash with Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardar. The movie provided a much-needed break to Anushka Sharma in her career.

2. Sultan(2016)

The movie saw Anushka Sharma donning the avatar of a state-level wrestler opposite Salman Khan. Moreover, Anushka’s character of Aarfa Ali Khan was appreciated by the audience as well as the critics. The movie was a huge hit among the masses as it collected around Rs.300.45 crore at the box-office to become the sixth-highest-grossing Indian film in overseas markets.

1. PK (2014)

Very few would have known that the pair of Anushka Sharma and Aamir Khan will break so many records at the Box-office. Anushka who was playing the role of Jaggu who is a television news reporter was loved by the audience. Meanwhile, the film which was directed by  Rajkumar Hirani, collected over Rs.340.80 crore as it became the first movie to touch the 300 crore mark at the box-office.

With Sui-Dhaaga, Sanju, Zero, and Made In India coming up, you must expect that something special is going to happen.
