Bravo! Jos Buttler’s Brilliant Knock Of 110 Drives England To Secure A Historic Whitewash Against Australia

What A Win For England Cricket! It was great to see them seal a remarkable 5-0 one-day series triumph over Australia. Well, Jos Buttler has now turned out to be the ultimate hero in England’s battle against Australia as he led the home side to a thrilling 1-wicket victory over the arch-rivals at Old Trafford, Manchester on Sunday.

The English men were really in a dreadful position at 27/4 as they were chasing Australia’s score of 205 all out when the 27-year-old batsmen came out of nowhere and played one of the fantastic innings of his life. It was interesting to see the Buttler doing a MS Dhoni as he smashed an unbeaten 110 off 122 balls as England sealed its first 5-0 whitewash over Australia.

After smashing the amazing score of 481 at Nottingham on Tuesday, the win ensured a perfect week for England.

Well, Adil Rashid also contributed to the team’s total with a fine a ninth-wicket partnership of 81 which helped the host side in winning the series. Unfortunately, Rashid too got out before Jake Ball held up the Australian attack for 10 balls to allow his teammate to score a century with a 2nd six and guide his team to a  dream victory with a century and 9 balls too spare.

Interestingly, Buttler to came out to praise his teammate at the post-match presentation.

“I said to Jake if it`s two we`ll run, if it`s one, we won`t. Great guts from him to soak up that pressure and face those balls, said Buttler.

Buttler added, “We were determined to come out and try and win 5-0. We bowled fantastically well and didn`t quite click with the bat. Games, where you pull it out of nowhere, are extra enjoyable.”

Buttler had a great series as the half-century guided them to another victory on Thursday as he was voted player of the series, having amassed 275 runs from the 5 matches at an average of 137.5.

Moreover, Jos executed a brilliant run-out and stumping while Moeen Ali’s 4-wicket haul turned out as a disaster for them.

“I don`t think I`ve ever played better. It`s very enjoyable. We`re just trying to keep it going,” Jos added.

Meanwhile, England captain Eoin Morgan too came out in praise for the right-handed batsman and said, “We were very poor today and Jos really did pull something special out to get us over the line. It was outstanding.”

It seems that England has got a cool MS Dhoni in Buttler.

“He`s in control – he`s a very cool, calculated customer with a lot of ability. We got a lot out of that watching from the dressing room,” he said.
