India vs South Africa: Virat Kohli’s men face pace test ahead of the 1st ODI

India looks to break the jinx ahead of the first ODI in Durban after crushing the hosts in last test match at Wanderers.

The 6 match ODI series is going to resume between the world top 2 sides on Thursday. While a 4-2 win can topple Africa from No.1 position who are sitting comfortably at the top with 120 ratings.

In the first ODI against South Africa at Kingsmead India will look to continue to their momentum after defeating the home side in Johannesburg test.

Indian side looks formidable with Rohit Sharma having a great record in ODIs with 6424 runs with 3 double hundreds.

While the other opener Shikhar Dhawan’s record in ODI’s are impressive with 4038 runs in 96 matches.

Indian bowlers have some good news to hear as South Africa’s top-class batsman AB De Villers out of the first three ODI’s due to injury.

While the task is not going to be an easy one as the sub-continent team has not so good record in South Africa as the team could manage only 5 wins in 27 encounters against the Proteas.

It will be interesting to see whether the Virat Kohli’s men can turn their destiny and make their fans proud.
