Sooraj Pancholi faces heat as he has been charged with abatement to suicide by the Session court in Mumbai.
According to the charge sheet, the Nishabd actor was seen hanging by her mother at her residence in Juhu in the year 2013.
Furthermore, Jiah had left a suicide note in which she criticized Sooraj for destroying her life.

In her three-page letter, she wrote about her intimate relationship with the actor along with physical and mental abuse.
As per the CBI reports, Sooraj Pancholi had refused to go through brain-mapping tests to know whether the actor had any role in the incident or not.
The Hero actor has been charged under the section 306 of the IPC, pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday. The trial is set to begin on 17th February 2018
On this occasion, Sooraj Pancholi’s father Actor, Aditya Pancholi, said, “We are very happy [that the trial is beginning]. We have been waiting for this day for the past four-and-a-half years. Now the real trial begins, now we will fight the actual fight. If we are guilty, Sooraj will be punished; and if we are not, then Sooraj will be set free,”
He added, “What was happening was that every time the trial was to go to the court, the complainant (Rabbiyan Khan) would go and get a stay on the trial.”
According to the reports, Jia Khan’s mother Rabia Khan was not allowing the case to move ahead. “We have gone through a lot of stress, but we stood by each other, and friends from the industry like Salman (Khan) were also there for us. The trial cannot go on forever. Sooraj is a young man and he has his life ahead of him.” The actor added.
