Virat Kohli and Co. missed a big opportunity to register a historic win over England after the team failed to chase down a target of 194. Well, the batting line-up had failed miserably barring skipper Kohli who was the top-scorer of the match with 149 in the 1st innings and 51 in the 2nd innings as he turned out to be the star performer for India.
After the loss, former Indian cricketers lashed out at Indian players for its poor show in the match. Further, England’s fans seemed to be too harsh on Indian players as they mocked them when they were on their way back to the team hotel.

In a recent video which went viral on social media, the English fans were having some conversation with Indian fans before they mocked Virat Kohli and Indian players who were sitting in the team bus. Moreover, many others including some Indian fans shouted ‘balle balle’

Finally, the 4th Test match ended on the 4th day after, India which needed just 84 runs to win the contest could only manage 52 runs after which they lost contest by 31 runs.
It was 27-year-old Ben Stokes who shined with the ball after scalping 3 wickets including that of Kohli and Hardik Pandya.
According to reports, Kohli will make some changes in the playing XI. Meanwhile, England also needs to look for an alternative to Ben Stokes as he might not be available for selection due to his court case. Further, Adil Rashid can also be excluded as he wasn’t given a longer run to bowl in the 1st Test.
Now, the 2nd test match of the series will be played on August 9, 2018, and will be played at Lord’s. Well, Virat Kohli and Co. can take inspiration from India’s last victory at this venue in 2014 under Captain Cool MS Dhoni where tall and lanky bowler Ishant Sharma had shone with the ball.
Virat Kohli will not forget the humiliation faced by the team in the 1st test and we believe that he will definitely strike back hard and give a befitting reply to all the English fans.
