From Sachin To Harbhajan Everyone Is Praising Virat Kohli, Check Twitter Reactions

After facing huge defeat at Birmingham and Lord’s, Indian team led by Virat Kohli were under pressure to perform at Trent Bridge. After failing to deliver with the bat in the 2nd test, the Indian batsmen made a great comeback in 3rd one while Virat Kohli smashed his 2nd century of the series. 

In the 1st innings, Virat Kohli 97 and Ajinkaye Rahane 81 gave India the much-needed start at the beginning of the match. Well, the 159 run-partnership for the 4th wicket helped India to post a competitive total of 329 runs.

England who has already won 2 matches were looking helpless in the 3rd test as Indian bowling completely destroyed the England batting line-up and restricted them to 161, giving the visitors a first-innings lead of 168.

Hats off to Virat Kohli

Kohli who was slammed for his poor performance in 2014 England series has made a great comeback as a captain while playing in the same country. Despite playing in unfavourable conditions, the skipper has made batting look so easy as he scored his 23rd Test century.

Though he missed out the century in the first innings by just 3 runs after he was dismissed by Adil Rashid decided to fulfill his desire in the 2nd innings by smashing 103.

Meanwhile, it was Cheteshwar Pujara, who along with the Indian skipper build a strong partnership while in the end, it was Hardik Pandya’s blazing 52  which enabled India to declare on 352 for 7.

Chasing 521 runs, England is now at 23/0 at the end of Day 3.
