Maddy’s Birthday Special! 5 Movies Which Proves Him As The Most Versatile Actor Of Indian Film Industry

Either you call him Maddy or Manu, R Madhavan has been loved by Indian fans for over a period of more than 2 decades.  Entering the TV industry with Banegi Apni Baat in 1993  we saw him making his debut with the thriller movie Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin in 1996. Later the 48  he turns a year old today -year-old actor also made a debut in Tamil industry with Alaipayuthey. 

Well, he is one of those few actors who has been equally successful in both the film industries also he has done roles which nobody would even touch. As he turns a year old today we are going to a list of the 5 films movie of the superstar which you must not miss:

Rehna Hai Tere Dil Main

Releasing in 2001, Maddy(Madhavan) and Reena(Dia Mirza), the leading pairs of RHTDM movie made everyone believe in true love. While Maddy was the heart of every girl, back in those days also the epic clash between Sam(Saif Ali Khan) and Maddy is still remembered by the Bollywood fans.

To those who don’t know the movie was a remake of the Tamil film, Minnale, further the movie was not among the successful ones at that point still but has enjoyed great popularity among the Indian youth and college students. Also, songs like Zara Zara, Sach Keh Raha Hai and Dil Ko Tumse are considered among the favourites.

3 Idiots

In 3 Idiots we again saw Ranganathan Madhavan returning as a college student while this time he was coming along with Aamir Khan, and Sharman Joshi. Meanwhile, the scene when we saw Farhan Qureshi requesting his father to let him pursue carrier in photography is considered to one of the sensational scenes in the movie.

Well, the movie had tremendous youth appeal while the critics have too praised it and said that the movie is emotional, entertaining and enlightening too. Further, the movie was a box-office hit and was the highest grossing Inidan at that point of time.

13 B

Directed by Vikram Kumar 13 B, this was Madhavan’s first psychological horror movie as well as it also got positive reviews from the audience as well as critics due to its intriguing and compelling story while Maddy too showcases his versatility as an actor in this horror film. Meanwhile, the movie was rlease in both Tamil and Hindi language.

Well, it’s rare to see a Bollywood horror get so many positive reviews. Also, it collected Rs.56 crore at the box-office to finally be declared a hit.

Tanu Weds Manu

In 2011, Madhavan returned with a family entertainer along with Kangana Ranaut. The song Sadi Gali considered to be favourites among the masses. While the movie  itself received positive reviews from the audience and critics as well.

Well, who would’ve expected that Madhavan-Ranaut jodi will turn out to be one of the favourite pairs in Bollywood? Moreover the filmmakers too decided to create  Tanu Weds Manu: Returns which was a box office hit with the worldwide collection of Rs.252 crore.

Saala Khadoos

Madhavan surprised his fans when he was seen in the role of a boxing coach. Well, the superstar dropped his sanskari lover boy looks to adopt a badass avatar. Further, Madhavan almost worked for three years for a mental as well as a physical makeover.

Moreover, it’s much different from movies like Chak De India or a biopic like Mary Kom while critics too praised it and said that the movie is a perfect sports drama, which should not be missed.
