Sonakshi Sinha. the daughter of evergreen superstar Shatrughan Shotgun Sinha is a young, smart and hard-working girl. Making her debut in 2010 with Dabangg opposite Superstar Salman Khan, Sona has grown up as an actor. Moreover, her choice of films has too changed as we now see her working in mystery-thriller movies like Ittefaq.

5.  Rajjo Pandey- Dabangg

It’s a dream come true for any Bollywood star to make a debut against one of the high-profile Bollywood stars in India. Well, Sonakshi was the one who got this great opportunity to work with Bhai in 2010 blockbuster action-movie Dabangg.  While the movie broke several box-office records, the song,” Tere Mast Mast Do Nain” was among the popular songs of the year. Sona was seen in a fearless avatar and her dialogue “Thappad se darr nahi lagta sahab … pyar se lagta hai” is still reminisced by Bollywood fans.

4. Paro- Rowdy Rathore

First movie with Salman and then the second one with Akshay Kumar, Sona had definitely nailed it. Directed by Prabhu Deva the movie was an official remake of 2006 Telugu film Vikramarkudu.  Though the movie received a mixed response from critics it turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. The songs Dhadhang Dhang and Chinta Ta Ta Chita Chita were the most popular songs of the year. While the pair of Akshay and Sona was liked by the Indian audience.

3. Kamaljit Kaur- Force 2

Nobody would have expected Sonakshi will pair up with John for such an intense role in Force 2. While critics praised the movie and the character, the movie couldn’t do much magic at the box-office as it managed to gross just 58.75 crores worldwide. Meanwhile, it was interesting to Sona trying to come out her comfort zone to try something new.

2. Noor Roy Chaudhary- Noor

Well, Sona again surprised her fans with a movie which is based on Pakistani author Saba Imtiaz’s novel Karachi, You’re Killing Me! which portrays the misadventures in the life of Noor Roy Chaudhary.In Noor, we see Sona as the girl who swears by her rum, eats cake in bed also her dialogues which are funny. Meanwhile, critics even said that this was Sona’s one of the best performance of her career.

1. Maya- Ittefaq

Directed by Abhay Chopra, the movie Ittefaq is inspired from the 1969 film by the same name. The movie saw Akshaye Khanna, Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha team up for the first time. While the critics, as well as the audience, enjoy the spy-thriller. Moreover, even after competing with Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again and Hollywood’s Thor: Ragnarok, Ittefaq collected good number at the box-office. After this movie, the audience wants more from Sona now.
