Meet This Engineering Professor Aka Govinda Uncle Who Has Shaken Up Everyone With His Dance, Watch Video

OMG! If Govinda might have seen Mr. Sanjeev Shrivastava’s video he would have definitely started to dance in joy. Shrivastava like every other young guy desired of fame as a dancer in the 80s but things didn’t work out for him at that stage. Well, God seems to have different plans for the engineering professor as his wish has finally come true and now he more is popular than a celebrity today.

In the era of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Whatsapp. Shrivastava became an overnight internet sensation after videos of him dancing to Hindi movie songs became viral.

You must know that our Dancing uncle, who hails from Vidisha district is a professor in the electronics department at the Bhabha Engineering Research Institute, in Bhopal.

Well, our uncle is seen dancing to a song called ‘May se Meena se na Saaaqi se’ from the 1987 movie Khudgarz which stars actors Govinda and Neelam. While the woman who is dancing along with him is his wife Anjali

Introducing himself, Dancing uncle says, “My name is Sanjeev Srivastava. I have studied engineering from Nagpur. I am fond of dancing since childhood. I consider Mithun Chakraborty as my inspiration. I had participated in many dance competitions in my youth and won three trophies in Madhya Pradesh. I did M Tech later and became a professor leaving everything from my family.”

Speaking that he has got inspiration from his mother for dance, Shrivastava says, “I have been dancing since 1982. Dance is a god-gifted talent in me. I was inspired by my mother Mohini Devi Shrivastava who has been a classical dancer.”

Revealing that he has won Madhya Pradesh’s best dancer award 3 times in Bhopal, professor says, “I have not got any formal training. I won Madhya Pradesh’s best dancer award three times in the eighties in competitions held in Bhopal.”

On May 12, the Professor was dancing at his brother-in-law’s wedding in Gwalior when someone shot the video, “I don’t know who he is but I am really grateful to him. I never got such an appreciation before.”

Surprised by people’s reactions on the internet, he says, “I never thought something like this would ever happen to me. I always used to dance on the songs of Govinda and Rishi Kapoor.”

You must not miss this one and must not forget to show this dance to your college professor. Well, who doesn’t like a professor with full of life and energy?

Shrivastava says, “I never thought of uploading videos on my own, though I have performed hundreds of times at umpteen number of places free of cost as part of several dance and theatre groups and also as a special invitee on auspicious occasions in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and several others states.”

Meanwhile, Sanjeev’s Govinda dance got more than 5,000 retweets and it has been ‘liked’ by more than 10,000 people. Moreover, people are now praising him as “dancing uncle”

Further, Shrivastava regrets that there was no TV channel to promote his talent at that point of time when he used to dance as a young man. You might be surprised to know that his 2 sons Parv (12) and Aradhya (10) are also good in dance.
