Andre The Giant, is a documentary that is based on the life of a popular French wrestler André René Roussimoff.

In the 1980s era, Andre The Giant was one of the prominent sports celebrity in the world.

The heavyweight professional wrestler who was suffering from acromegaly is popular for his encounters with Hulk Hogan for the WWF World’s Heavyweight Wrestling Championship of The World at WrestleMania III in 1987.

“He kept everybody in line. He was the guy.” Says Hulk Hogan in a preview from HBO documentary.

Hogan added, “He was stronger than all of us. He was bigger than all of us.”

One of the commentators labels him as, “literally the biggest celebrity in the world.”

As per the interview footage, the wrestler’s hand is much larger than the hand of the interviewer.

He was fondly called as “Eighth Wonder of the World,” in a clip when he entered into a fight.

The documentary also reveals the darker aspect of the gigantic wrestler. The doctors say that the wrestler had great issues with drinking.

“The reality of who he was, was getting more intense on him,” says Billy Crystal who hints that the wrestler was aware of his fate.

“He knew he wasn’t going to live long,” the actor added.

On January 27, 1993, Andre The Giant died due to congestive heart failure at the age of 46.

Andre The Giant will be aired on 10th April also its features the interviews of actor Billy Crystal, Jerry “The King” Lawyer and Hulk Hogan.
