Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree is doing phenomenal business at the box-office and is all set to become the next biggest hit of 2018 now. Well, the horror comedy movie directed by Amar Kaushik has surprised everyone and is refusing to slow down in the upcoming days ahead.

Well, the movie has so far earned Rs 9.70 crore on Monday which takes the total collection of the movie to Rs 41.97 crore. Due to the 4-day weekend with Janmashtami falling on Monday, Stree has earned Rs 42 crore at the box office within 4 days. On Friday, the movie has earned Rs.6.83 crore while it earned Rs.10.87 crore, Rs.14.57 crore, and Rs.9.70 crore on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday respectively. So far the movie has collected around Rs 41.97 crore at the box-office.
On Tuesday, Bollywood Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Stree runs riot at the BO… Surpasses expectations by putting up a FANTASTIC TOTAL on Day 4 [#Janmashtami holiday]… Fri 6.83 cr, Sat 10.87 cr, Sun 14.57 cr, Mon 9.70 cr. Total: Rs 41.97 cr. India biz… This one’s a SUPER HIT.”
Well, Taran all hinted that the mix of horror and comedy signifying a new trend in Bollywood after the success of Akshay Kumar’s Bhool Bhulaiya, Ajay Devgn’s Golmaal Again and Stree. He tweeted, “Fear sells… And so do comedies… The marriage of horror and humour has resulted in three major successes: #BhoolBhulaiyaa [2007], #GolmaalAgain [2017] and #Stree [2018]… Does it signal the arrival of a new trend? Will we see more horror-comedies in future?”

Further, he revealed that Stree has broken all the records held by the previous movies of Rajkummar Rao. The movie is a major success in the careers of both Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. While Shraddha’s biggest opener so far was Ek Villain with Rs 16 crore, the movie Stree is Rajkummar’s biggest weekend opener.
Moreover, there is more good news for Shraddha and Rajkummar. According to sources, the movie has fared well than any other 2018 movies such as Fukrey Returns and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, which were loved by the audience and have even performed well at the box-office.
The movie Stree narrates the story of a haunted town, which is often visited by a woman’s ghost. In the movie, Rajkummar plays a tailor who falls for Shraddha. Apart from the Shraddha and Rajkummar the movie also stars Aparshakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi.
In the era of Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and Tiger Shroff, the movie’s box-office numbers have surprised everyone.
So, Can Stree enter the league of top 10 Bollywood movies of the year 2018?
