Sunday morning turned out to be a dark day for Bollywood after the sudden death of Sridevi due to cardiac arrest.
According to sources, Sridevi along with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi were in Dubai to attend the wedding of the nephew and actor Mohit Marwah.
Unfortunately, on Saturday night the late 54-year old superstar got a lethal cardiac arrest which took her life.
Sridevi who is considered as the first female superstar of Indian cinema has received 6 Film fare awards in her lifetime.
The legendary actress made her debut in 1978 movie Solva Sawan alongside Rajinikanth and Kamal Hasan is popular all over the world due to her exemplary performances in films like Chandni(1989), Mr India(1987), and English Vinglish(2012).
Meanwhile, her graceful dance performance in ‘Main Nagin Tu Sapera’ from the film ‘Nagina’ is still remembered by the Indian audience.
Her last film Mom which featured Akshay Khanna and Bawazuddin Siddiqui was critically acclaimed and was loved by her fans.
While she has also done a cameo appearance in Bollywood superstar’s Shah Rukh Khan upcoming film Zero that will release in December 2018.
Moreover, the actress has worked with one of the finest actors in Bollywood like Rishi Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan.
Apart from Bollywood, she has also worked in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies. In 2013, she was awarded Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award.
After the news of her demise, her friends and well-wishers reached Sridevi’s house to console her elder daughter Jahnvi who couldn’t reach Dubai due to her busy shooting schedule.
Further, Rajinikanth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind along with Bollywood actors like Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta were shocked and mourned at her loss on Twitter
