After entertaining the Indian audience with his movie 102 Not Out Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan will now make a grand return to television as the host of the tenth season of the popular game show, Kaun Banega Crorepati.
According to reports, the registrations for KBC 10 will start from June 6 and will continue till June 20. Further, the popular show will launch in the month of August. Sources claim that the show will be a short season of about six weeks (30 episodes).
Launched in the year 2000, KBC is an adaptation of American show Who Wants to be a Millionaire. While in KBC 3, we saw King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan hosting the popular show, later Big B was again rope in as a host. After a 3-year break, the 9th season of the show was again launched last year and it was reported that the show reigned the BARC list for days. Also, KBC was considered to be one of the most popular among every other show.
Well, It seems that the producers Big Synergy Productions want to be more successful and take KBC 10 to a much different level.
Expressing his excitement about KBC 10, Danish Khan EVP and Business Head of Sony TV said, “It is exciting to bring in the 10th edition of India’s favorite game show with its iconic host – Amitabh Bachchan.”

Danish said, “Last year the registration window was for seven days and the total registration was 19.8 million. We are sure with a 14 days window and last year’s stupendous success, we will be able to create a new benchmark in registration numbers.”
You can catch Sr, Bachchan asking 1 question every night at 8:30 on Sony TV. While the interested participants can answer via SMS or via apps installed on their mobile phones. Moreover, the public will be provided with some time to answer the question and qualify for the audition for 24 hours – before next day 8:29 pm.
