Meanwhile, you must know that the movie directed by Amar Kaushik has so far crossed the lifetime business of Sidharth Malhotra’s Ek Villain (Rs 106 crore) and Varun Dhawan’s ABCD 2 (Rs 108 crore). Further, Rajkummar has clearly shocked all critics with his extraordinary performance in Stree. The interesting fact over here is that both the movies feature Shraddha Kapoor in pivotal roles.
To those who don’t know, this is Rajkummar’s first Bollywood movie to touch the coveted Rs.100 crore mark at the box-office. While the movie has also turned out to be the biggest hit of Shraddha’s career till date. Made on the small budget of Rs 20 crore, Stree had already recovered its investment before the release through digital, satellite and music rights.
Meanwhile, producer Dinesh Vijan has also revealed to come up with a sequel of Stree, he said, “It teases them, a little bit. The whole idea is that of a franchise. It’s setting up the second part. The sequel will answer all the questions. I understand the grouse, but it was intentional. We will make it up to you in the second one.”
With Rajkummar Rao entering the clubs of Varun, Ranbir, Ranveer and Tiger, the star all set to take the superstar position. It will be interesting to see how the 3 Khans- Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir, who are ruling the Indian film industry since decades can survive this stiff competition now.
