Mallika Sherawat reaches Sushma Swaraj on twitter to help Dutch NGO

Bollywood actor Mallika Sherawat who is the brand ambassador of “School for Justice” program initiated by Free a Girl organisation reached Twitter to stand-up for a good cause.

Free a Girl is an international organisation that was founded in 2008 by Evelien Hölsken, Arjan Erkel, Roelof van Laar and Yolanthe Sneijder Cabau in Haarlem, Netherlands.

It is dedicated to free young girls from forced prostitution and prosecuting offenders.

The organisation is actively working on its aim to provide these girls with shelter, education, and training in order to help them become lawyers and work within the judicial system.

On Monday Mallika reached Twitter and made a request to Sushma Swaraj, the External Affairs Minister of India to help Evelien Holsken, Dutch NGO co-founder get her visa, as her visa application has been frequently rejected.

The 41-year-old actor wrote, “Ma’am @SushmaSwaraj co-founder of Dutch NGO #FreeAGirl has been repeatedly denied the visa to India, this NGO is doing superb work for trafficked children & women. Pls, help!”

Further, the Dirty Politics star said in a statement, “I feel very strongly about this issue and felt the urge to seek help in order to get support from the government and be granted visa allowance to the co-founder who has been tirelessly working for the benefit of Indian children and women.”

“Sushma Swarajji has always addressed issues such as these and I am hoping to seek a positive response from her,” she added.

Also, she works in collaboration with Free a Girl India, which fights against commercial sexual exploitation of children and human trafficking in India.
