John Abraham’s Upcoming Movie Satyameva Jayate Lands In Big Trouble For Hurting Religious Sentiments

After the huge success of Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, Bollywood’s Desi Boy John Abraham seems to be riding high on success but we have a bad news for all his fans who are waiting for his upcoming action thriller movie Satyameva Jayate.

Well, a case has now been registered against the makers of Satyameva Jayate in Hyderabad for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments, the police confirmed on Monday.

A man named Syed Ali Jaffary has alleged that there was a ‘Maatam’ (mourning) scene in the trailer of the movie that has hurt religious sentiments of a certain Muslim sect, by insulting the religion and people’s beliefs, police said.

Nisar Hyder, a Shia community head said that a complaint was lodged with the deputy commissioner of police, South Zone, V Satyanarayana.

Hyder has requested that the filmmakers should remove the Maatam scene from the movie.  He said, “We have submitted the complaint against all those concerned in making Satymeva Jayate and hurting religious sentiments.”

“We have requested that the filmmakers should immediately remove the Maatam (Mourning) clipping from the movie and then release it. It is clearly hurting the sentiments of Shia Muslims,” Nisar added.

Speaking to media, the DCP assured to take immediate actions in this regard. He said, “Shia community members have approached me and lodged a complaint against Satyameva Jayate movie over a clipping of Maatam, which is hurting the sentiments of Shia Muslims.”

“I immediately ordered Dabeerpura police to register an FIR and initiate necessary action,” the DCP added.

Well, this is a very serious issue for John Abraham who already has high expectations from the movie.

Based on the complaint, a case was registered last evening against Emmy Entertainments and others under IPC section 295A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings), 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs), and 153-A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). While the complaint was filed at the Dabeerpura police station in Hyderabad.

Apart from John Abraham, the movie also stars, Manoj Bajpayee, Amruta Khanvilkar, and Aisha Sharma in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Nora Fatehi’s item number, “Dilbar” has already gone viral on social media.

Directed by Milap Zaveri, Satyameva Jayate will hit the screens on August 15, 2018, and will clash with Akshay Kumar’s Gold.
