From Lungi Ngidi To Andrew Tye: 10 Bowlers Who Surprised Us With Their Amazing Bowling Spells in IPL 2018

Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Kane Williamson and AB De Villers might have won the hearts of everyone with their exrtraordinary batting skills in the eleventh season of IPL 2018. While Indian batsmen Rishabh Pant, Lokesh Rahul and Ambati Rayudu have also proved their worth in the current season of IPL. As we all know,  a real crcket enthiusiast will always prefer to watch Virat Kohli’s elegant leg side flick over Bhuvaneshvar Kumar’s LBW wicket dismissing a batsman, Isn’t it?

Well, You must know that this year the likes of Andrew Tye, Umesh Yadav, Hardik Pandya have yet again proved that how bowlers are also crucial for a team’s victory. Recently, Rajasthan Royal’s Shreya Gopal’s 4-wicket haul against  Royal Challenegers Bangalore turned out to be game changer  as Ajinkaye Rahane and Co. managed to enter into the play-offs.

As the tournament comes to an exciting climax, let’s check out the bowlers who made their marks in the 11th seaon of Indian Premier League:

1. Ankit Rajpoot for KXIP vs SRH: 4-0-14-5

You might have not heard this name as he is an uncapped Indian player yet his 5-wicket haul against Sunrisers Hyderabad shows that he has the potential to thwart the opposition team with his bowling tactics. The bowler displayed a wesome contol and patience as he dismissed the top SRH batsmen like Shikhar Dhawan, Kane Williamson and Wriddhiman Saha to restrict them to  132. However, Kings Xl Punjab lost the match after the team got bundled out just at the score of 119.

2. Lungi Ngidi for CSK vs KXIP:  4-1-10-4

South Africa’s  Lungi Ngidi picked up his best T20 figures in the last lague match of IPL and  destroyed the party of Kings XI Punjab. The lanky bowler got the explosive Chris Gayle out for a duck bowled in-form KL Rahul for 7, Moreover, he ensured to give no extra runs to esnure that MS Dhoni and his yellow army comfortably end in Top 2.

3. Andrew Tye for KXIP vs MI: 4-0-16-4

Here’s another KXIP hero and current Purple Cap holder of IPL 2018. Well, the Australian bowler  Andrew Tye has been in a great form in the current season as he has manged to scalp 24 wickets. Meanwhile, he is the 1st bowler to pick up three 4 wicket hauls in an IPL season. In the 50th match against Mumbai Indians he again took 4 wickets to restrict them at 186 but unfortunately KXIP lost the match by 3 runs.

4. Shreyas Gopal for RR vs RCB: 4-0-16-4

As we all knew that both RCB and RR were in a do or die situation in this the match, Shrey Gopal’s 4-wicket haul came as a blessing to Rajasthan Royals as he took the wickets of Parthiv Patel and Moeen Ali and sent back the dangerous AB de Villiers after bowling a perfect googly. Well, Due to his performance the team is now among the top four to fight for the trophy.

5. Kuldeep Yadav for KKR vs RR: 4-0-20-4

Well, the KKR’s chinaman bowler is just 23-year-old but his bowling skills are very extraordinary. In a crucial match against Rajastha Royals Kuldeep  displayed his aggrssive nature when he  picked up Ajinkya Rahane in his 1st over and then Jos Buttler. Moreover, the likes of Stuart Binny and Ben Stokes couldn’t stand against his deceptive slower balls as the team halted to 142 runs. In the end, Sinesh Karthik and Co. easily won the match with 2 overs to spare.

6. Mayank Markande for MI vs SRH: 4-0-23-4

The 20-year-old Mumbai Indians bowler has proved that he is ready to be the part of Indian cricket team when he picked up 4/23  against the table-toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad. Markhande was in such a top form that his googly  troubled both Wriddhiman Saha and Dhawan but his efforts went into vain as the SRH won the match by 1 wicket.

7. Prasidh Krishna for KKR vs SRH: 4-0-30-4

KKR needed a hope to win against the dangerous Sunrisers Hyderabad when Prasidh Ran came out of nowhere and scalpped 4 wickets. Moreover, he turned out to be dangerous in KKR’s last over when he picked up 3 wickets and conceded only 4 runs to make his team qualify for the the playoffs.

8. Andrew Tye for KXIP vs RR: 4-0-34-4

Tye had the best IPL season so far as the aussie was seen bowling with precision and accuracy. While he lost in the last over of the innings when Ben Stokes was out off the first ball and got the wickets of Jofra Archer and Jaydev Unadkat restricting Rajasthan to 158/8.

9. Umesh Yadav for KXIP vs RCB: 4-0-23-3

The 48th match of IPL saw fast and furious Umesh Yadav delivering one of thehis finest performance of the season. He took the wickets of Chris Gaylew and KL Rahul as Kings XI Punjab got out at a mere total of 88 runs. Well, RCB did easily won the match by 10 wickets.

10. Deepak Chahar for CSK vs SRH: 4-1-15-3

Meet the trump card of MS Dhoni- Deepak Chahar. Well, Chahar took full advantage of the track that had great pace to take the wickets of Ricky Bhui, Pandey and Deepak Hooda to finish with 3/15 in CSK’s 5th match of the season.  So, Chahar’s dazzling performance made Hyderabad lose the match.
