Ranveer Singh, who is currently prepping for Director Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming musical drama, Gully Boy celebrated Women’s day in his unique style.
Well! The actor was applauded by Priyanka Chopra for his new look. On Women’s Day, the Quantico actress decided to catch on her bestie all the way from New York and asked him, “What are you wearing?”
To which, the Padmaavat star candidly replied, “I wore a green colour skirt, today.”
Later, he said the idea was shared by none other than Zoya Akhtar, who insisted Ranveer and all other male members of her team to dress in skirts on the sets. She marked the day as ‘skirt day’.

Meanwhile, Ranveer was seen wearing a basic white tee along with a neon green wraparound makeshift ‘lungi-skirt’, a yellow hat and red-framed sunglasses.

On hearing this, PeeCee was awed and said, “I love it. Where is your picture in a skirt? But well, we have already seen you in a skirt on the sets of Bajirao Mastani(laughs).”
Further, she thanked him for sharing his pictures in a skirt and quizzed the significance of women’s day for him.
The 32-year old actor was in all praise for all the women in his life, He responded, “I was raised by women- my naani, my mummy, my sister. Whatever I am today, it is because of them. They are like lionesses. I don’t know, where I’d be or what I’d be-I am what I am because of them. I think it’s great that we are celebrating women today.”
Indeed, Ranveer made the Women’s Day a special one for his fans.
