Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor who is soon going to be a daddy again thanked his wife for winning the award in Padmaavat, he said, “This is my first award for ‘Padmaavat‘ this year, so I am really very happy and I would like to dedicate this award to my wife.”

While Shahid’s co-star Ranveer Singh who won the heart of Indian audience with his power-packed performance in Padmaavat was awarded Best Actor (People’s Choice).
Further, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety star Kartik Aaryan was a surprise winner as he was awarded as the entertainer of the year.
Also, Pari star Anushka Sharma and his brother Karnesh Sharma were awarded Path Breaking producer of the year.
Rajkummar Rao’s Newton which has garnered praise in every award ceremony was again won the Dada Saheb Phalke Excellence Awards outstanding performance for the same.
