Bollywood superstar Salman Khan who is currently launching brother-in-law Aayush Sharma in the film industry with a musical romantic drama, directed by debutante Abhiraj Minawala is in the news for several days.
Well, the 52-year-old superstar has changed the title of his new movie Loveratri starring Ayush and Warina Hussain to Loveyatri. Last evening, Salman had made the announcement with a new poster and title but he didn’t reveal the reason behind changing the title.
Recently, he took to Instagram to share the news, he captioned his post,”This is not a spelling mistake… Loveyatri.“
Well, Loveyatri which features Aayush Sharma and Warina Hussain is now set against the backdrop of Navratri. Sources confirm that Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) protested against the film’s title, alleging that it ‘distorts the meaning of the Hindu festival.’
Later, a petition was filed against the movie. Further, News agency PTI had reported that a court in Bihar asked the police to lodge an FIR against Salman Khan and the cast of Loveyatri on the basis of a complaint that the title and contents of the movie had hurt the Hindu sentiments.
On the controversy, Salman told PTI about the problems related to title of the movie. He said, “Some people, I don’t know who they are, have some problem with title of the film. It is a beautiful title. There is nothing more beautiful than love, so it is called Loveratri. It is not demeaning any culture.”
Talking about the movie, Salman said, “We are making the film with Navaratri in the backdrop. We have made this beautiful film celebrating the music, colour, love and the fun of festive season.”
“We don’t need any publicity like that. Once the film is released those people will know there is nothing,” he added.
Produced by Salman Khan, Loveyatri stars Warina Hussain, Ram Kapoor, Ronit Roy and Prachi Shah in pivotal roles.
Loveratri is scheduled to release on October 5, 2018.
