Nokia 8110 4G: The banana phone is all set to make a comeback

The iconic Nokia handset from 1996 that launched at MWC in 2018 instantly became popular due to the slider model only after its appearance in the science fiction movie The Matrix in 1999.

A true fan of the 1999 movie The Matrix can remember the spring-loaded version of the slider used by Neo.

It’s time to revive the phase of the 90s as the classic Nokia 8110 phone is all set to make a comeback in 4G format while the new version will be launched at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The banana phone will be seen in a Banana Yellow shade as well as in Black one.

Release date and price

Nokia 8110 is set to release in May 2018 and will be available in countries like China, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Design

It has the distinctive curve and slider of the original, although it arrives in a smaller package making it easier to hold in the hand

Display

It has a 2.4-inch curved display with a QVGA resolution with physical navigation keys.

Battery

Apart from these, the mobile phone also has a 1,500mAh battery inside it which ensures that the phone lasts more than 25 days.

4G power

It also has Qualcomm 205 chipset (dual-core 1.1GHz) and 512MB.

4G camera

It has a 2MP camera with single LED flash on the rear of the 8110 4G.

4G operating system

While the phone will also have access to the app store with a Facebook app. Moreover, the phone can also be used as a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot along with that one can check emails and import contacts from Outlook and Gmail.

Further, the mobile phone comes with a Nokia game ‘Snake’ that is vastly popular among the masses.
