Mac Miller Dies At 26: 5 Most Memorable Songs Of The Rapper

We can’t believe that America’s popular rapper Malcolm James McCormick aka Mac Miller is no more with us right now. Well, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said that the 26-year-old singer has recently been found dead at his California home in the Studio City neighborhood.

“The music artist known as Mac Miller died today in his Studio City home,” said LA County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner in a statement.

“In the late morning of September 7, Malcolm McCormick was found unresponsive…. authorities were called and Miller was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:51 (18:51 GMT).”

“At this time, an autopsy is pending and a cause of death has not been determined,” they added.

Meanwhile, Variety has reported that Miller who was open about his struggles with substance abuse had died from an apparent overdose. Further, Miller’s family also stated that the rapper had passed away on Friday but decided to give no further details, “He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans.”

Artists including  J Cole, Diplo, Chance the Rapper, Earl Sweatshirt, Questlove, Pusha T, Solange, Shawn Mendes, and Wiz Khalifa have paid tribute to the star who had released his most recent album, Swimming, to acclaim this August.

The rapper had risen to fame after topping US charts with his debut album in 2011. Meanwhile, his latest record, Swimming which was released this year was due to go on tour.

Earlier this year, Miller had gone through a well-publicised break-up with singer and girlfriend Ariana Grande.

Well, the pair who met in 2012, collaborated on a number of songs and performed together at the One Love Manchester concert in 2017. Further, many charges were filed against the rapper last month after he was arrested in May for driving under the influence along with hit and run.

Grande had confessed about ending the toxic relationship after fans blamed her for arrest.

She wrote, “I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be,”

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Miller used to focus on his music while he was still at school and released his first mixtape under the name EZ Mac at the age of 15. Further, he had starred in a MTV reality series in 2013.

Well, the song shows how Miller used to deal with stress during the week and getting high to deal with problems. 2. “The Way,” Ariana Grande feat. Mac Miller

Miller’s break up with singer Ariana Grande had made headlines after the two decided to split. Well, Miller had further featured on Grande’s “The Way” in 2013, a single on her debut album Yours Truly. The song is one of the beautiful songs which you must listen.

3. “Cinderella”

After Miller’s split with Grande, Miller had released a song  “Cinderella”  featuring fellow rapper Ty Dolla $ign. “You in my dreams, that’s why I sleep all the time / Just to hear you say I love you, just to touch you,” In the lyrics, he tries to speak about the couple’s relationship.

4. “Donald Trump”

Well, the President of America might now be missing Miller who had dedicated the song titled, ‘Donald Trump” to the President, 7 years before he had entered the White House. Very few know that the song was Miller’s first single to hit the charts. Further, Miller had praised the singer too.

5. “Self Care”

Featuring on his 5th album, Swimming had released more than a month before his death. On August 3, Miller had released the  album Swimming on No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
