On Friday, Netflix had finally released the trailer for the upcoming anthology film, Lust Stories. which marks the reunion of the popular international directors Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Karan Johar and Dibakar Banerjee after a span of 5 years.

Well, their earlier movie Bombay Talkies (2013) which was praised by the critics had become unsuccessful at the box-office. Meanwhile, the directors now have thought not to repeat the same mistake and have now decided to release their new film on a censorship-free platform- Netflix where it will be available for 190 countries all over the world.

The much-awaited trailer was launched at an event in Mumbai. Well, the movie shows different shades of love-life in urban India from the eyes of Indian women.
The 120 minutes trailer begins with Radhika Apte’s dialogue from Anurag Kashyap’s movie, he says, “You can’t hurt someone you love, intentionally you don’t. But you only hurt those you love!” Well, the 32-year-old actress is playing the role of a professor and is married to a person who believes in the idea of monogamy and desires their relationship to be like that of penguins! The story takes a turnaround when she gets into a physical relationship with her student Akash Thosar, who is much younger to her.
The other part is directed by Zoya Akhtar in which we see an unrequited love-story of a house-help, the role of which is played by Bhumi Pednekar, who seems to be in a relationship with Neil Bhoopalam.
Well, Karan Johar seems to have taken the movie to a different level in which Raazi star Vicky Kaushal and M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story star Kiara Advani are seen as a newly married couple. Apart from them the movie also stars Neha Dhupia. Meanwhile, we see Kiara in an awkward scene and you can too understand that this is a story of a lesbian who is caught in the cage of an arranged marriage.
In Dibakar Banerjee’s directorial, we see 90’s favourite Manisha Koirala coming along with Sanjay Kapur, who is playing the role of her husband. Further, the 47-year-old actress is seen sharing the love with her husband’s friend Jaideep Ahlawat.
Starring Radhika Apte, Manisha Koirala, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani in leading roles, Lust Stories will release on June 15, 2018 only on Netflix.
