Kohli Gives An Epic Reply To Root’s Mic Drop In First Test Match At Edgbaston, Watch Video

This is now the just beginning of Virat Kohli‘s era in Indian Cricket and we are already seeing the changes in the behaviour of the Indian team. As we all know there is no Dhoni around, Kohli has got all the freedom to play it all in his own way.

We all remember how Joe Root did the mic drop to snatch victory from Virat Kohli and Co. in the last ODI at Headingley.

While England might have moved on from the event, Indian skipper is not in a mood to let things go or forget the manner in which Root dropped his bat. Well, the 29-year-old cricketer is trying to convey that if you give him one then he will wrap that in a gift pack and return it back in multiples.

Talking about the current Test series which began on August 1, 2018, at Edgbaston, England’s Test skipper Joe Root luckily won the toss and grabbed the opportunity to bat first.

To everyone’s surprise, Indian off-spinner R Ashwin provided the team an early breakthrough in the 1st session with the wicket of Alastair Cook.

Meanwhile, it was the English skipper decided to lead from the front, he took his time and got his eye in. Later, he started to play his shots and got to his half-century in the 2nd innings. Also, he made some good partnerships with Keaton Jennings and Jonny Bairstow in order to finally take his team to a respectable total.

Unfortunately, a horrible run-out of Joe Root changed the whole game on Day 1 of the 1st test. Root was on 80 when he and Jonny Bairstow opted to take a couple when  Kohli collected and released the ball in swift motion for a direct hit and finally Root was dismissed.

One would definitely love to see Virat Kohli blew a couple of flying kisses, then mocked the mic drop and silenced the crowd. Well, a pure cricket fan would understand what the Delhi ka Munda was trying to convey.

Meanwhile,  Ravichandran Ashwin’s amazing figures of 4-60 came out at the right time as England kept on losing wickets consistently and were standing at 285-9 on the end of Day 1.

Well, recent India’s tour of England tour is no less than a spicy Bollywood Salman Khan movie and we are eager to watch what is going to happen when Kohli’s men will come out to bat on Day 2.
