Filmmaker Jyoti Prakash Dutta or J.P. Dutta is back with another war based drama in Paltan. Well, the director always tries to invoke patriotism with his patriotic films like BORDER(1997), REFUGEE(2000) and LOC – KARGIL(2003) and the 68-year-old director has always been successful with his every attempt. Now, JP is making a comeback to the big screen after 12 years with yet another war-based movie.
The film Paltan talks about the biggest war trilogy of all time and gives us the final battle scene of Indo-China war. Set in 1967, the film is based on the Nathu La military clashes that raged on the Sikkim border. Well, the movie shares the story of the Indian army against the Chinese invasion.
Meanwhile, the movie also stars Arjun Rampal, Gurmeet Chaudhary, Sonu Sood, Harshvardhan Rane and Siddhant Kapoor in leading roles.

Earlier, actor Arjun Rampal had posted a short teaser from the movie in May, he wrote, “They getting ready, the uniform is on. Get ready to join the force.”

Now, the filmmakers of Paltan have yet again released another teaser from the movie and it’s really thrilling. Today, Gurmeet shared the teaser of the movie and wrote, “We the #PALTAN are marching to the theatres near you. The 49 seconds teaser begins with a epic scene from Border when Sunny Deol charges towards the enemy with a huge weapon. Later, it showcases the LOC Kargil scene where the soldiers set up the flag during the Kargil war. Then we see a glimpse where soldiers are crossing a mountain range in a line with a new version of AR Rehman’s Vande Mataram.

A few months ago it was reported that Abhishek Bachchan was going to be part of the movie but it was later confirmed that Jr.Bachchan is no longer part of the movie. As per the reports, Abhishek thought that Sonu had more screen space than him which was an issue for him
“Abhishek was quite kicked about Paltan. However, he realised after a while that Sonu Sood had more screen space than him. That bothered him considerably. When he discussed his apprehensions with Dutta, he told him that while Sonu had more screen time, it was Abhishek who had a better character written for him. Dutta could not convince him and he backed out at the end minute.” said a source.
While Arjun Rampal was last seen in Daddy and Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh. Gurmeet has earlier worked in movies like Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana, Wajah Tum Ho and Khamoshiyan
Paltan is scheduled to release on September 7, 2018.
