Dinesh Karthik did a Javed Miandad after smashing a six off the last ball to help India register a thrilling four-wicket victory over Bangladesh.
The victory was not an easy one for India after Bangladesh batsman Sabbir Rahman scored 77 off 50 balls to help his team reach the score of 166/8 against India in the final of the Nidahas Trophy.
While chasing total India lost two quick wickets in Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina eventually Rohit Sharma was also dismissed for 56 runs but a wicket-maiden over spell by Mustafizur Rahman left India struggling at 133/4 after 18 overs which nearly dashed the hopes of India winning the tri-series.
However, DK’s impressive knock of 29 runs from 8 deliveries helped India win the tri-series and clinch the Nidahas Trophy.

The crowd at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday cheered and supported the Men in Blue with chants ‘Jeetega bhai Jeetega, India jeetega’, in the finals of the Nidahas Trophy
“Are you surprised?” asked Bangladesh commentator to Russell Arnold about the massive crowd support that the Indian players received at the finals.
It seemed that the Srilankan fans got closer to Indians after the Bangladeshi players displayed a poor attitude towards the Srilankan players.
Bangladeshi cricketers were heavily criticized for their Naagin Dance after defeating the Islanders in their last game of the tri-series.
