The latest celebrity to delete the Facebook account is Bollywood actor-director Farhan Akhtar. Taking to Twitter, the 44-year-old actor said,” Good morning. This is to inform you all that I have permanently deleted my personal Facebook account. However, the verified FarhanAkhtarLive page is still active.”

Later, Farhan also hinted about the fake news arising on the social media platform about Don 3, he said, “Request those who conjure up news about #Don3 without any fact checking to please refrain. It is not fair to raise expectations of the film’s fanbase via false news.”

While WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton had said, “It is time #deletefacebook.” The 46-year-old entrepreneur later got major supporters online due to the recent data leaks.

Later, Jim Carrey, Canadian-American actor also deleted his Facebook account saying, “I’m dumping my @facebook stock and deleting my page because @facebook profited from Russian interference in our elections and they’re still not doing enough to stop it. I encourage all other investors who care about our future to do the same. #unfriendfacebook”

Meanwhile, Elon Musk had also deleted SpaceX’s Facebook page along with the one for his electric car company Tesla.
