On Friday Pakistan’s left-handed batsman Fakhar Zaman had played some sensational innings to become the 6th player in the history of ODI cricket to hit a double century.
Well, the 28-year-old batsman had smashed 210 not out from 156 deliveries to break the previous record held by Saeed Anwar who had scored 194 runs against India around 21 years ago. In his powerful knock, he smashed 24 boundaries and 5 sixes.

In the same match, he and Imam-ul-Haq had scored the highest opening partnership in ODIs to score 304 runs and now Pakistan’s total stands at 399, which is their highest score in ODIs.

In bowling department, Shadab Khan took 4 wickets as Zimbabwe were bowled out for 155 and Pakistan finally won the match by 244 runs in the 4th ODI in Bulawayo. Well, Fakhar Zaman is the next big thing to happen to international cricket.

2. Virender Sehwag (219)
Virender Sehwag aka Viru Paaji was the 2nd batsman to score a double ton in ODIs. Playing against West Indies, Sehwag had hit 209 against West Indies on December 8, 2011 at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. Well, he smashed 25 fours and 7 sixes to reach the hallmark.

3. Rohit Sharma (209)
Rohit Sharma populary known as Hit man Sharma is the only man on the planet to have 3 double centuries in the format. His first came against Australia on November 2, 2013 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. In his blazing innings he smashed 12 fours and 16 sixes.

4. Rohit Sharma (264)
Who can forget Sharma’s ferocious 264 against Sri Lanka which is the highest individual score by any cricketer in ODIs. Well, the right-handed smashed 33 boundaries and 9 sixes at his favourite ground Eden Gardens on November 13, 2014 to achieve this record.

5. Chris Gayle (215)
Chris Gayle was the first non-indian batsman to enter the 200 club when he scored 215 against at Australia Manuka Oval against Zimbabwe. The left-handed batsman smashed 10 boundaries and 16 sixes to become the first batsman to score a double hundred in ICC Cricket World Cup.

6. Martin Guptill (237*)
New Zealand’s swashbuckling batsman Martin Guptill gave West Indies a great shock in ODIs when he smashed 237 not out in Wellington on March 22, 2015. Moreover, this was the 1st double century scored in the knockout stage of ICC Cricket World Cup 2018.

Rohit Sharma should be named one of the merciless batsman in ODIs. His special innings came at PCA Stadium in Mohali on December 13, 2017 against Srilanka. For Sharma, hitting a double century in ODis has becomes so easy that we are waiting for his next one to come.
