CBSE Class 10 result 2018 Declared: Meet The 4 Joint Toppers: Prakhar Mittal, Rimzhim Agarwal, Nandini Garg And Sreelakshmi G

Can you believe it? Not 1 but  4 students have managed to top the  CBSE Class 10 examinations after the results were declared on May 29, 2018. Well, these 4 students include 1 boys and 3 girls from different parts of the country scoring an impressive 499 out of 500 marks in their Board examinations.

As per the board’s announcement, these students are- Prakhar Mittal of DPS Gurgaon, Rimzhim Agarwal of RP Public School, Bijnor, Nandini Garg of Scottish International, School Shamli and Sreelakshmi G of Bhavan’s Vidyalaya, Kochi.

Prakhar Mittal of Delhi Public School in Gurgaon’s Sector 45 who scored an awesome 99.8 percent to finally top the examination credited his parents for his success. Well, the topper lost only 1 mark in French.

Thanking his teachers and parents, he said, “My parents and teachers helped me a lot. The teachers in my school are very good and I could perform so well because of the way they taught us as well as the notes they gave.”

“I studied according to my own pace with a cool head,” he said.

He shared a success mantra for all the students and said that one need not study for hours while must revise all the topics which they believe are tough. While he said that he used to study for at least 4 to 5 hours in a day also used to take a break to resume for another 3 to 4 hours.

Further, he said, “My parents have also supported. They never stopped me from doing extracurricular activities. I just studied calmly.”

He revealed that he used to take coaching from FIITJEE for both the board examination as well as for engineering too.

Now, Prakash aims to take up engineering in his graduation after his class 12 examination.

According to reports, the overall pass percentage of the exam was  86.70, and as per the officials, 27,476 candidates have scored 95% or above.

While the total number of students who have scored more than 90% and above is 1,31,493. Moreover, the girls with a pass percentage of 88.67 have performed way better than the boys with a pass percentage of 85.32.

Further, Thiruvananthapuram has topped with a pass percentage of 99.60% followed by Chennai (97.37%), and Ajmer (91.86%) While Delhi has 78.62%.
