This Bizarre Six By Harmanpreet Kaur Will Remind You Of MS Dhoni, Watch Video

Where are you Dhoni? You much watch how Harmanpreet Kaur implemented your style while playing her debut for Lancashire Thunder at Kia Super League in England and Wales.

Well, the Indian women’s T20I captain held her nerve to secure a last over finish for her side, the Lancashire Thunder.

Check out this video in which the 29-year-old cricketer emulated the former Indian skipper, MS Dhoni, by hitting a perfect 6 to register a win for her team.

Thunder needed just 11 runs to win in the final over when the whole spotlight was on Kaur who stepped down the track to Laura Marsh and then she smashed the ball from outside off to deposit it clear over deep mid-wicket.

She smashed 34 not out from 21 balls but it was Australian left-hander Nicole Bolton who had given Thunder’s the much-needed start. Well, her dismissal in the 19th over had put team Surrey back in the game when Kaur came at the right time to take her team to victory.

Here heroic innings had sent Thunder’s camp into a frenzy while the members of the team were seen celebrating after sealing victory over the opposition.

For Surrey, skipper Nat Sciver starred with both bat and ball, she smashed an unbeaten 95 from 57 balls with 2 sixes and 9 fours to help her team to reach a respectable total of 148/5 in 20 overs. Again, she starred with the ball as she took 2 wickets for 26 runs.

Interestingly, Harmanpreet reminded us those days when MS Dhoni used to win the games for India with a six.  In many situations, he has finished off the game in this manner.

In 2017, Harmanpreet Kaur was awarded the prestigious Arjuna Award for Cricket by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

Indeed, she has made all the Indians proud by playing such a beautiful inning also under pressure. We believe Kaur will take the women cricket to reach those heights which no one has ever dreamt of.
