Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan seems to be enjoying the best phase of their career right now. While Salman’s movies are earning huge numbers at the box-office, Akshay Kumar’s movies are loved and praised by the audience.
According to Forbes list of the World’s Highest Paid Celebrities 2018, both these b-town superstars are among the world’s 100 highest-paid entertainers. While the list is topped by none other than American boxer Floyd Mayweather.

Khiladi Kumar is ranked 76th on the Forbes list while Bhaijaan is on the 82nd spot. However, Shah Rukh Khan who is regular on the list can’t find a place on the list. In 2017, King Khan was ranked 65th on the list with earnings of $38 million. Well, the reason can be that SRK has no movie released in the last 12 months while his last movie Jab Harry Met Sejal couldn’t garner huge numbers at the box-office.
As per the list, the Gold star earned $40.5 million in the current year. Describing Akshay Forbes said, “One of Bollywood’s leading men has transitioned to socially-conscious roles, such as ‘Toilet,’ a comedy supporting government campaigns to improve sanitation, and ‘Padman,’ about a guy hoping to provide inexpensive sanitary pads to rural communities. He still mints millions from backend profits and endorsing some 20 brands, including Tata and Eveready.”
While Bharat star had earnings of $37.7 million in this year. Well, The magazine said, “This Bollywood mainstay continues to produce and star in hits such as ‘Tiger Zinda Hai,’ cashing in on backend profits. Coupled with a slew of endorsements from Suzuki motorcycles to Chlormint gum, he remains one of India’s top earners.”
Mayweather who has topped the list is earning $285 million while actor George Clooney is the 2nd highest-paid earner. Further, Reality TV star and businessperson Kylie Jenner is ranked 3rd along with tennis icon Roger Federer, football star Cristiano Ronaldo, pop star Katy Perry, and singer Beyonce are also in the list.
According to Forbes, the world’s 100 top-earning entertainers pulled in a combined $6.3 billion pretax over the past 12 months, up 22% from last year along with 11 superstars crossing the $100 million threshold which is more than double the number from the last 2 years combined.
