On Tuesday, Pakistan cricket player Shahid Afridi made a controversial statement on Kashmir which has recently erupted anger among the Indian cricketers on social media.
The former Pakistan Cricket Team Captain was slammed after he expressed his reactions related to an anti-terror operation in Kashmir on Monday in which around 13 terrorists were killed while posting a tweet alleging an “appalling and worrisome situation” in Kashmir as well as urging the United Nations (UN) to intervene in “Indian Occupied Kashmir”
Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren't they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?

Mocking at Afridi’s views, Gautam Gambhir wrote,”Media called me for reaction on @SAfridiOfficial tweet on OUR Kashmir & @UN. What’s there to say? Afridi is only looking for @UN which in his retarded dictionary means “UNDER NINTEEN” his age bracket. Media can relax, @SAfridiOfficial is celebrating a dismissal off a no- ball!!!”
Meanwhile, India’s swashbuckling batsman Shikhar Dhawan asked the 38-year-old former Pakistan cricket player to first try to improve his own country also he must keep his thoughts to himself. He added that we know what is good for our country as well as we know what to do in future so Afridi need not use his brains.
Pehle khudke desh ki haalat sudharo. Apni soch apne paas rakho. Apne desh ka joh hum kar rahe hai woh acha hi hai aur aage jo karna hai woh humein ache se pata hai. Zyaada dimaag mat lagao @SAfridiOfficial

The most interesting reply was from India’s legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar, he said that we have the capability to run our own country. Later, he stressed that,”No outsider needs to know or tell us what we need to do.”
Indian skipper Virat Kohli said that he will never support anything that is said against the interests of his nation. While he also said that it is a personal choice for someone to comment on certain issues.
Further, he said, “Unless I have total knowledge of the issues and the intricacies of it I don’t engage in it but definitely, your priority stays with your nation.”
