Actor Scarlett Johansson lashes out at James Franco

Scarlett Johansson attacks Actor James Franco at the Women’s march in Los Angeles.

The weekend witnessed women gathering up for #MeToo movement and to stand against sexual violence.

“How could a person publicly stand by an organization that helps to provide support for victims of sexual assault while privately preying on people who have no power?,” said the Avengers star addressing the crowd protesting against US President Donald Trump.

“I want my pin back, by the way,” said Scarlett Johansson at Women’s March.

While in her speech she never mentioned about James Franco but her representative asserted that she was addressing the ‘The Disaster Artist’ star as she herself is a member on Times Up, an initiative against sexual violence.

On 7th January James Franco wore the Times Up pin at the Golden Globe Awards. Moreover, Franco got the Best Actor in a Comedy award for the movie The Disaster Artist.

In her speech, Johansson shared her experiences, “Suddenly I was 19 again and I began to remember all the men who had taken advantage of the fact that I was a young woman who didn’t yet have the tools to say no, or understand the value of my own self-worth.”

Furthermore, She added, “I had many relationships both personal and professional where the power dynamic was so off that I had to create a narrative that I was the cool girl who could hang in and hang out, and that sometimes meant compromising what felt right for me.”

“No more pandering,” she said

“No more feeling guilty about hurting someone’s feelings when something doesn’t feel right for me,” she stressed

While She ended her speech with a promise to herself saying, “I have made a promise to myself to be responsible to myself, that in order to trust my instincts I must first respect them.”
